Double Packets

Do you remember when you were a kid, and you’d need to make yourself a box of mac and cheese?  You know how you’d open another box and steal an extra cheese powder packet to make it extra cheesy?   Then weeks later you’d hear your sister making mac and cheese, and she would realize there was no cheese packet?

That double packet mac sure tasted like a wonderful childhood to me.

The Gym, PCOS, and No Motivation.

We have been tossing around the idea of gym memberships for awhile now.  Last night we did it.  We joined 24 Hour Fitness.  Aaron and I are both aware that we need to lose weight and by healthy.

Meat Pies!

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeney!  (I can’t be the only one who sings songs from Sweeney Todd while baking/eating Meat Pies.)

Have you ever had a meat pie?  I hadn’t until tonight.  But it was so easy.  You could probably do several variables to this recipe.

-Brown 1 lb of ground beef
-Cover the hamburger with BBQ sauce.  (not too soupy, but not dry)
-Take a refrigerated pie crust and cut it in half.  Stuff hamburger mixture, sprinkle cheese, and pinch closed.
-Bake at 425 for 25 mins.

In August we decided to let 3 of our best friends move into the basement.

1- We love them.
2- They needed places to live.
3- We wanted to put their rent money towards our adoption fund.

Many people advised against it.  They said it would be a strain on our marriage.  They said it would ruin our friendships with them.  They said it would be horrible.  They were wrong.
